South Jersey Community Provides Thanksgiving Meal for Deploying Troops

Fourth Annual Feed the Troops Thanksgiving event to be held in Cherry Hill, NJ

CHERRY HILL, N.J. --- For the fourth year in a row, Haddonfield attorney Eric Spevak, Esq, Managing Partner of Adinolfi and Spevak, PA, will spearhead a memorable Thanksgiving event designed to demonstrate that South Jersey cares and supports the military. This year will once again be co-hosted by the dedicated and patriotic membership of the Jewish War Veterans Post 126. Cherry Hill Township has also graciously agreed to lend their support to help make this event unforgettable. This year will again host nearly 300 out-of-state troops for a traditional Thanksgiving meal at America's Best Value Inn on Route 70 West in Cherry Hill. Each year this event draws hundreds of community volunteers to participate in this worthwhile experience.

The event is truly special, and has become the highlight of many area residents' Thanksgiving plans. "There is nowhere I would rather be on Thanksgiving than with these brave men and women", states Spevak. "Hosting this event is just a small token of appreciation for their heroic sacrifices".

On hand this year to assist in making the event memorable to the troops will be Philadelphia Eagles star lineman Jon Runyan, who has attended and shown his event for this and many events supporting the National Guard. Former Philadelphia Eagle Vince Papale will also again be present to help show his support for our military. Runyan and Papale will assist Spevak in an infamous sports trivia game and autograph prizes. Also attending for the fourth year in a row will be former Miss New Jersey and CN8 anchorwoman Jill Horner to sing the National Anthem.

This year, event organizers are asking folks interested in attending this event, to gather outside the America's Best Inn by 11:15 a.m. with their American flags in hand to help cheer the troops in as they arrive. For more information about supporting this event, please contact ________________

In his professional career as a well-respected attorney, Spevak is perhaps best known for his role in the 2001 custody case over frozen embryos that were decided by the NJ Supreme Court, and was recently named by NJ Monthly Magazine as a Super Lawyer 2007 for the third year in a row. He is the recipient of numerous accolades for his humanitarian efforts, including the prestigious New Jersey Meritorious Service Medal (the highest civilian recognition awarded in NJ) and the National Guard Association of the United State's Patrick Henry Award for volunteerism directly benefiting the U.S. military. He was also named as Citizen of the Year by the JWV of the United States, Department of NJ. Mr. Spevak is also an appointee to the New Jersey World War II Commission by Governor Jon Corzine.
