Pro Bono Vets Haven Program Set to Kick-off
Thank you to Our Camden County Bar Members

We would like to extend a thank you on behalf of the residents and staff of Veterans Haven to those Camden County Bar Members who have graciously offered their time and talents to this worthy cause.

For those members who have volunteered and are not members of the Lawyer Referral Service, they should submit an application and $1 to be covered for this pro bono work only. Applications can be found on the Bar's website, http://www.camdencountybar.org/.

Veterans Haven staff or individual veterans will make initial contact with our membership through the Lawyer Referral Service. From there, our staff will assist them in getting connected with one of our volunteer lawyers.

Veterans Haven's mission is to reintegrate our homeless veterans back into society as productive individuals once again. The facility is located in Winslow, New Jersey and has successfully achieved their mission for the last ten years. Our military veterans need assistance with legal services such as minor criminal violations, motor vehicle infractions, child support arrears and other family law issues, bankruptcy, wills and estates.

If you have not already joined this effort, members of the Camden County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) can still participate by contacting Eric Spevak, Esq at 856-428-8334 or his assistant, Cheryl Betten, at extension 230. Volunteers must be panel members of the LRS for insurance purposes. Please join us in helping to serve those who have served our country.
